Illusions and Ballooning -Mr. Schreiber - Ages: 8 & up

- Class Supply Fee: $25
- Tuition: $16 per month
- Has your child ever wondered how magicians perform their fascinating illusions, or wondered how someone can take
a simple balloon and turn it into an elephant? If so, then this is just the class for your child! Through lessons
in basic magic theory, sleight of hand, and basic balloon figures, students will be learning how to become an impressive illusionist
and balloon sculptor. Students will be taught both close-up magic, which is performed for several people at a time,
and stand-up magic, which is performed in front of a large audience. Students will learn how to
use these tricks and balloons to present Christian messages. Note to parents: Due to its nature and origins, magic can
be controversial to many people. Thus, in my class, students are taught the distinct differences between magic tricks
for entertainment, such as illusions and sleight of hand, and "black" magic. Students are taught that magic
is simply a "trick" or "illusion".
- Students will need to purchasse additional
balloons. A 100 pack of balloons costs $8.50. In addition, students who show interest in magic may chose to
buy additional props. These props can be purchased at a magic store or online.

- Looking to add a very fun class to your student's school year? If so, then juggling
is just the class! Juggling has been proven to significantly improve hand-eye coordination as well as provide many
other benefits such as stress relief. This fun-filled course willl teach students the basic fundamentals of juggling.
First, students will start by learning how to juggle 3 scarves. As they progress, they will be taught other juggling
props, such as balls, diablo (Chinese yo-yo), and poi. In addition, students will learn the importance of presentation
in juggling. Moreover, students will learn how to share the Gospel using their juggling talents throught mini messages
that accompany their juggling. Students under age 10 may be admitted upon instructor's consent.
- Students will be required to purchase a set of juggling scarves and balls. This will cost $10. I
will have these available for purchase on the first day of class. Returning students who already have juggling equipment
will not be required to purchase new equipment. Depending on the ability of your child, he/she may want to purchase
additional equipment. These additional props can be pruchased online with my help.
