G.I.F.T. Fees

 

Registration Fee:

Registration fee is $45 per member family, due at the time of registration.

G.I.F.T. Fees:

  • There is a monthly fee that covers the basic operating costs of G.I.F.T.  The fees are graduated based on number of children enrolled in classes at G.I.F.T.  The monthly fee for one child enrolled is $10, the monthly fee for 2 children enrolled is $12, the monthly fee for 3 children enrolled is $15, and the monthly fee for 4 or more children enrolled is $18.

  • Families will reimburse G.I.F.T. for any bank fees incurred as a direct result of a returned check.

  • If a check is returned for two consecutive months, a cashier's check will be required for the next three monthly payments.

  • No cash payments are accepted.

Class Fees:

  • Monthly fees for each class will be paid on the first Tuesday of the month.  If a family chooses to drop the class, they will forfeit that month's remaining tuition.

  • Late Fees:  All late fees should be payable to G.I.F.T.:  If tuition is not received within 4 days of the date due the following fees will be applied.  $10 if tuition/G.I.F.T. fees are 1 week late.  $25 if tuition/G.I.F.T. fees are 2 weeks late.  $50 if tuition/G.I.F.T fees are 3 or more weeks late.

  • Each month there will be an envelope for each family with the current statement.

  • We will send reminder emails out the day before payment is due.  If you are unable to attend, please reply to the email to make arrangements for making your payments.

  • GIFT accepts payments made through automatic bill pay.  Please make each check payable directly to the teacher, but use the GIFT mailing address (PO Box 1055, Elgin, IL 60121).  Please allow up to 10 days for processing.  Checks not received by the first Tuesday of the month will be assessed the above late fees.

Class Supply Fee

The supply fee is the cost of materials the teacher will purchase for use in each classroom.  The teachers receive these funds at Orientation to purchase for the first day of class.

  • No cash payment will be accepted.

  • Class supply fee is due at Orientation and is given to the teacher immediately to prepare for class.  If supply fee payments are not received by Orientation, students may forfeit their space in enrolled classes.

  • Class supply fees are non-refundable unless the class is canceled.

  • If a student registers for classes after the Orientation date, supply fees are due at the time of registration.

 

Late Tuition Payment

  • A late fee of $10 per month per family is assessed on any payment that is not left in the payment box on the payment day by 2 p.m. or mailed to the G.I.F.T. P.O. Box no later than Friday of the same week.

Scholarship Policy

  • The application is posted on the website.

  • Amounts paid to the member will be paid out equally over eight months conditional on attendance.

  • Monies will be disbursed on the first class day of the month.

  • Additional Volunteering within G.I.F.T. is required to receive scholarship monies.

  • Scholarships may be gifted throughout the year based on needs at the discretion of the board.

  • G.I.F.T. is not able to pay teachers on behalf of a member.
