Ballet/Tap II/Jazz I

• Ages: 9-12
• Min. # Students: 5 
• Max. # Students: 15
• Class Fee: $18 per month

• Prerequisite: minimum 1 year of ballet and tap, or teacher invitation.

This combination class is a great opportunity to have lots of fun and become a well-rounded dancer.  We’ll continue to develop our ballet technique and the steps and exercises will become more challenging.  Our tap steps and combinations will show improved clarity, rhythm, and timing.  Get ready to have fun - tap dances will begin to move a little more quickly.  In jazz we’ll continue where our ballet class left off.  Basic jazz technique will include a warm-up, corner, and center floor combinations.   Jazz will give us a chance to stretch a little more for our splits, kicks, and jumps.  I love jazz and will make it high energy with little bit of hip hop

• No prior dance experience is necessary
• Recommended dance attire:

          Girls - Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet choes and black tap shoes.  Optional: dance skirt

          Boys - White t-shirt, black shorts or sweat pants, black ballet shoe or jazz shoes and black tap shoes

• Please keep tutus and formal constumes to a minimum as they can be distracting and inhibit proper movement
• No jewelry (small stud earrings are ok)
• Please pull hair back off of face and shoulders
• A costume costing approximately $30 will be required for the Evening of the Arts.
