There will be no classes held on Feb. 2 due to Elections. 

It's not too late to register.  Please contact the registrar about joining after the first day of classes.  Classes began Sept. 22.  The registration fee has been lowered from $45 to $30 for families registering after Dec. 31.  See subject area buttons on the left for class information and choose the Schedule button on the left for class times.

The following classes are currently FULLArts & Crafts, Discovery Art, Critical Thinking, Mock Trial, Robotics I, Sewing A & B, Family Music Bag, and Spanish Foundations.  Please contact the G.I.F.T. Registrar giftregistration@hotmail.com to be placed on the waiting list.

Quality Fine Arts Classes

For Homeschoolers

Mission Statement: To facilitate Godly influenced fine arts training for homeschool families in a positive environment.

  • G.I.F.T. is a non-profit enrichment program run by volunteers that offers fine arts classes to homeschoolers of all ages (pre-school - adult).
  • Classes are taught by paid, professional teachers and are open to all homeschoolers.  GIFT is not a co-op.  GIFT is non-denominational.
  • Classes are held on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. in the N.W. suburbs of Chicago at Church of the Brethren 783 W. Highland Ave., Elgin, IL 60123.  (Please do not contact the church for GIFT information.)
  • GIFT classes run from Sept. - May and are not divided into semesters.  This is a year long program. 
  • GIFT classes include:
    • Theater
    • Wood Sculpting, Jewelry Making
    • Arts & Crafts, 3D Art, Design Art, Art Studio, Teen Art
    • Photography 
    • Dance -Ballet, Tap, Jazz
    • Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Piano, Tuba, Baritone, Trumpet 
    • Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone, Trombone, Percussion, Bells
    • Voice
    • Sewing, Knitting & Crochet
    • Spanish, Japanese
    • Creative Writing
    • Chess, Robotics, Mock Trial, The Constitution
    • Public Speech
    • Illusions, Juggling
    • Pre-school Music
  • At the end of the GIFT year, students present what they have learned in two special free Evenings of the Arts programs .
  • Parents are always welcome to sit in and quietly observe their student's classes.
  • A parent or guardian must remain on site with any student under 16 years of age, or find another adult who will be responsible for their student.  If your child is 16 or over, you may leave them once you have signed a waiver. 
  • A silent study room, lunch area,  toddler room, and family waiting area are available to waiting family members.
  • We encourage you to visit our program.
